6. This isn't really an "activism" forum. Folks are here to discuss news/current events, exchange info on preps, and joke/jostle around. If you want to "rally the troops" for your political cause including political causes related to energy issues, you're better off going elsewhere.

7. I reserve the right to ban people for what I call "blatant asshattery." What constitutes blatant asshattery is to a certain degree subjective but it's basically thies: if you show up and conduct yourself like a jackass you're going to get the boot.

After reading the "Rules" I think I'm more worried now than I was a minute ago!

If the only rules that are important for the LATOC forum are warnings to anti-semites, 9/11 theorists, and gun-lovers, then the outlook for the future is worse than I thought.

Matt, isnt this a bit against scientific principles???  For instance, if I could expound a new and realistic proof that oil really is abiotic it would be against the rules to post it??  I know this isnt reality as the carbon isotopic decay proves oils biotic origin.  What if I had a picture of aliens pumping more into the hollow Earth??  I couldnt post this??  What if the tooth fairy took pity on us and had Barney tell us where and how it was REALLY made??  I couldnt post this?? 

I know my arguments are weak, Im satisfied that oil has already peaked although Im not completely ruling out that we will get another little spike that exceeds last Novembers production...   Im just saying what if???  Shouldnt the truth rule out???

It's a bit of a shock to come on here and the first thing I read about is not posting pictures of your gun collection.



I hope that the first thing people think about in terms of "survival" isn't shooting, stabbing, or clubbing everyone else to death.  If we're going to have to return to an agrarian or hunter-gather society, the first thing to remember is that many hands make light the work, and cooperation, not killing, is probably the way to go.

In any case, this future looks so depressing that if anyone wants to shoot or stab me as far as I'm concerned they can go right ahead, if they're not ashamed.  It beats starving or freezing to death ...

2:With the knowledge many of us now share isnt rule #1 an attempt to ignore one of the elephants in the room?

Put it this way: what I don't want to see are the threads that start off with, "Peak Oil is a scheme by the international Jew!!!"  If, on the other hand, you have a problem with Israel's policies in the Mid East, that is fine to discuss.

If it might be true, why can't we talk about it? People accuse the neocons of everything under the sun including from which direction it rises in the morning, seems like restricting our random accusations is COMPLETELY unfair.
