I just checked out Bruce Brown's Endless Summer II DVD from the public library.
It is truly an outstanding film depicting the simple joy of life in travel, meeting people and playing.
Surfing, perhaps the ultimate form of play, is deflty captured on film in the antics of Pat O'connell and R. Wingnut Weaver and all those other famous surfers.
The simplicity and junai of this film catapulted me out of my "PO/Post fascist takover malaise" bringing hope and faith that plenty of play and good times lie ahead.

Enjoy.
