i have been saying for six months to watch the bond yields.  Cheesy now watch the house burn!

Greek two-year bond yields have surged to the highest in almost a decade and concerns about budget sustainability are spreading to Spain and Portugal

Ah, but there's more of that pesky aid speculation to bail out Greece this morning. US Futures are up like +70 points because the markets are looking for that bailout announcement that kept the DOW above 10000 last week:

http://www.bloomberg.com/apps/news?pid=20601087&sid=a2HX0wjqUqxk&pos=3

Quote
European Union leaders will discuss Greece’s plans to reduce the region’s biggest deficit when they meet Feb. 11, and European Central Bank President Jean-Claude Trichet’s decision to leave a meeting of policy makers in Sydney one day early fanned speculation that officials will agree on aid.

That's all they've got right now, but it seems like it would be hard for them to let Greece go down just to keep in compliance with the EU Charter...

They will box this issue somehow and placate the markets for the time being. Watch.

It will be interesting because if Greece gets attention, Spain is next, then Portugal, then Ireland, then Italy, then...... How can they stop with one. The markets will force their hands on the next one and the next and on. This is just plain stupid...AGAIN.

Hell, lets just print up a quadrillion quadrillion and pass it out so everyone, countries and people, can pay off all debts. Then we can just start over. Surely that won't piss anyone off.  Roll Eyes  Except maybe the people who played by the rules and bet against the foolishness that we've seen take place lately. But I guess those people don't count because they're not corrupt enough or stupid enough to play with money they don't have or ever would. Silly me.
