$99.03 according to Bloomberg.

Come on, let's just get this over with.  Better sooner rather than later.  Maybe $100 oil will make people wake up and start conserving.

We start the day at $97.71. Will oil gain $2.29 today?

An hour later, and it's up to $98.35.

A buck sixty-five to go.

(No, wait- it's only been 45 minutes.)

Oh, I'm all over this- but honestly, I don't know why. We all know that when oil touches $100, the MSM will tout it as more of a "falling dollar" thing than a peak oil thing. I seriously doubt peak oil will even be mentioned if this price point makes the news. It will be blamed on everything else.

Anything else.

I kind of see it as the car-crash phenomenon.  If you see an obvious crash about to happen, for most people it's virtually impossible to look away due to the anticipation.

Yeah, it's a train wreck, but we've been camped out in the bleachers for this one for quite some time.

Time to make the popcorn!
