Unfortunately the trailers don't show what's in the movie. I believe its a story of what could happen in a financial collapse.

From their site it appears to be about 40 selected experts, commentators, authors and pundits opining about how each generation created the next  to lead into the situation we are in now. Judging from the teasers, most likely the interviews are done on top of public content (images and video clips). Could be interesting listening. It's produced by Citizens United (yes, that Citizens United) for those that are curious.

I worry that a movie like this is part of a larger campaign to prepare the citizenry for war or revolution. A version of reality is being prepped here and the lure will be the very reasonableness of a lot of the positions. The more I muddle over this one the more disturbing I find it. The issues will be co-opted for the benefit of the corporatocracy.

I've been thinking for quite awhile that generational differences will be the next tool used by TPTB to divide the sefs and keep them bickering amongst themselves.  As the cultural divide, that worked for so long, begins to break down (e.g. populists on both sides of the aisle discovering they have more in common vis-a-vis economic interests, than they do with their corporate centrist underwriters).  Granted, the likelyhood of the fundies sitting down to chart out a strategy with a bunch of libertarians, anarchists and REAL socialists is unlikely, but not out of the question.  If the corporate center cannot hold with the current social manipulations, more will be devised.  The righteous (IMO) anger building in the youth, coupled with their lack of interest in organized religion poses a dilemma.  How do we direct that furor away from the Wall Street/Bilderburg murderers?  Why, simply blame the preceeding generations.  I have seen nearly as much vitriol towards boomers, as I have toward TPTB.  Mish's incessant hammering at public servant defined pensions is another version of the same distractions.  Rather than focusing on CEO salaries, bonuses, the disparity between rich & poor, and the need for greater taxation of the rich, we get anger towards public employees, many of whom rejected work in the private sector specifically for the added security of a pension and health care.  The generalization of public employee as inept, uneducated and inefficient is just so much Reagan trickle-down hogwash....talking points that have repeated enough on Faux News to make them real to the weak-minded.
