Pretty bad ass. Great fill in by Jordan's replacement. At times a noticibly different writing style, but considering the subject matter, the writing itself is easy to duplicate. Jordan wasn't McCarthy or anybody considered a "great" writer. He just instead built one of the best fantasy series known to man with old fashioned awesome story lines. And tons of characters.

Gathering is about 770 pages and should take you at least a day and a half to read, unless you of course still have a job or other interesting things to do to pace yourself. You will have about a year until the next one comes out, followed by another year until the last one comes out. Pray that it happens.

Yep, Sanderson did a first rate job IMO. I was a little gutted that the end is even further away as i've been waiting about 15yrs for this but the anticipation does keep building. Not doomer at all but a good solid Fantasy Epic. Only 2 more books to go.....  Grin
