We moderators continue to have to remove links to AP articles run by Yahoo or other news sources.  Here is how you can tell if it is an AP article before you post the link:

1)the link contains ap in it

http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20091110/ap_on_bi_ge ...

2)the red AP logo is posted at the top of the article (usually right under and to the left of the article title)

3)the writer listed at the top of the article is an AP staff writer

By[Writer Name], Associated Press Writer

PLEASE check for these indications before you post a link from Yahoo or other news source.

Thanks,

Linda

New study looks at unauthorized use of US newspaper stories

Quote
http://www.physorg.com/news179004071.html

.....
While blog sites are most frequently accused of using content without authorization, blogs made up less than 10 percent of the top reusing sites during the period under review.

The study found that Google and Yahoo!'s advertising networks dominated the unlicensed monetization of US newspaper content with Google accounting for 53 percent of the total monetization and Yahoo! for 19 percent.
.....

So Google and Yahoo combined accounted for 72% of the unauthorized online newspaper article useage.  More stats at link...

It would seem that blogs and forums aren't the real culprit.

Yeah but bloggers are the only ones who aren't part of the same giant system of corporate domination.
