True Ches, but my aspirations were back in the 60's, when I hadn't realized yet WTF was going on.  But fate may have kept me away from my pinnacles to keep me from becoming a reptile, slave owner or program administrator.  I've figured out that much, so I guess I'll keep figuring out how to fuckin find you guys after TSHTF so we can consummate a new nation, with liberty to be class or ass with swift extermination of the latter.  Grin

The Mormon Cult

It was filled with people who read nothing, but knew the answer to everything.

I read a lot, widely, hard stuff, etc., and had lots of questions.

Moreover, I didn't know the answer to everything.

The cult people looked down on me.

I never won respect from them.

Now, at the age of 47, I've broken free of the cult, and realize their respect was never forthcoming, because they are incapable of respecting people like me.

So, I guess my point is rejection is not a bad thing when the people rejecting you are Mor(m)ons.

Considering how dismally f**ked up the world is, and that it is largely due to the actions of the majority (you know, "normal" people), the more I get rejected, the more I feel like I am doing the right thing.

This year I celebrate 30 years of recording music and being an "activist" by giving up on both!  All of my available albums are now free downloads on the John Ludi website (as I'm damned if I'll spend the time and money to make any more of them):

I just got in touch with a friend from high school.  One of the really smart nerds.  That was made fun of incessantly.  I wanted to know about one of our mutual friends (I was kind of friends with everybody) I hadn't heard of in years.  He was not just a smart nerd, but one of the brains beyond reason.  He also was snubbed and made fun of, and never had a date.

What's he doing now?  Well, the last e-mail my friend got from him he was headed to Antarctica (he works for NOAA) to do some research.

Rejection didn't do his IQ much harm.  And he was a quiet, shy person, too.

If he's so smart, then why is he stuck in Antarctica?

I would assume that being sent to Antarctica to do research is considered the top-of-the-heap.   Wink

Quote
Rejection can dramatically reduce a person's IQ and their ability to reason analytically, while increasing their aggression, according to new research.

"It's been known for a long time that rejected kids tend to be more violent and aggressive," says Roy Baumeister of the Case Western Reserve University in Ohio, who led the work. "But we've found that randomly assigning students to rejection experiences can lower their IQ scores and make them aggressive." ........... http://www.newscientist.com/article/dn2051-rejection-massively-reduces-iq.html

Bah, I think this is a crock of shit. Especially the lower IQ part. Maybe rejection does make people more aggressive... so next time they aren't rejected. That much I can see. But lowering your IQ? Sounds like the crap the crap they are now feeding kids in our school system. They rarely fail kids anymore here because they say it affects their self esteem and all that jazz. Now the new crop of kids are a bunch of stupid, lazy, entitled brats. But I guess its all good because it didn't lower their IQs.
