oK

IT has been noted that there seem to  be a lot of creatives at latoc.

I agree.

I think a certain amount of empathy and creative spirit is likely to be present on the fringes of this particular group of people. Those that understand the BIGGER PICTURE.

so to that end i think it is time that EVERYONE that is an artist (in their own perception of the word)

comes here and tells us a little about themselves....... their art.

part of that would be best if accompanied by images that illustrate their artistic endeavors ,,,,,

and because i have been here a long time...... a lot of the artists on this site are known to me.

so you ain't going to get away

i will hunt you down. LOL!

so for me personally as the person starting this thread here is what i can tell you.

I am REDREAMER and google knows it.

i do two main types of art.

One is painting and the other is photography.

My images are all over the web...... not even particularly hard to find.

type in redreamer and you can find me.

Smiley

I am what is called a REMODERNIST PAINTER.

but my real difference is in my paintings within paintings.

Images that are painted IN THE DARK.

be back with some images soon........ i will post edit this to add my photos.

BUT as a start: go here.

Ok Wendy, I'll play along. I'm a stained glass suncatcher designer and craftsman... My work can be viewed on ebay, here's a sampling...

Heh! heh! Over the years at the shows, I've met many other artists that have rather dark views and outlooks.... Of course, not within earshot of the customers! Grin

beautiful glass work! wow!
I've always wanted to try my hand at stained glass but never got a round to it.
anyway, right now, I'm painting and drawing pictures that show my fears about the coming future.
It's good therapy. LOL
I do happy whimsical things too, but took a spell of painting "Terrible Angles" and all that and did a show at the gallery in our little town and wanted to us it to reach out to people and maybe talk about PO and things.
I'm not very good at talking. LOL
anyway, here's a link to some of my things if you'd like to see them.

I like to do woodcarvings too.

Pamela! Not only are you a gentle soul, but your art is as well, even the angry faces feel more sad than angry! They all feel so sad even if they are smiling.  Cry

The 1000 yard stare is haunting.

I'll say you do! Excellent work! Kafka all over the place, found myself looking for the giant cockroach, but it's presence is felt.

I don't have an online presence that includes all of my work because I haven't sold art in 15 years, just been teaching it, concept art for video games. So here are some of my more doom inspired images:

I put some peaceful ones here:

And my family and friends blog is here:

http://jadegardens.wordpress.com/

And you can see what I was teaching here (I am a better teach than artist mainly because I spent all of my energy teaching not doing):
