Today's lesson...  no matter what comes, keep love and light in your heart.  It will see you through.

I do feel better.  Hubby was sweet (more so than normal) to me this afternoon and after dinner he, SD, and I played a game of Scrabble.  It was a nice evening.  A bit of normalcy.  I needed that.

DoomNymph, I just found this and wanted to add another *hug* to the pile.  It sounds like you just needed to have a good cry.  It does help now and then.

I have two grown sons.  One lives here with us while he goes to school, the other is many, many miles away.  Too many miles away.  And I worry about him as well, and what sort of future he and his brother will have in the midst of all this mess we've created.  But I have decided that there are just some things in life that you have to surrender control over, even if you don't believe in a higher power, per se.  Because the answer to "what kind of future will my children have?" is, and always has been, "whatever kind of future they make for themselves."  I will do what I can to give them the tools they need to make a good future, but in the end, it's their life and they have to work to make of it what they can, just as we all do.

I just hope they make smarter choices than many of us have to this point.
