Okay, so I'm starting a thread for a Halloween meet up somewhere on the planet for 2010, providing the transportation system still works.   Grin  I'm in N. CA.  Here goes.

I'm in Florida, great weather in October but not exactly central to the US of A!  Grin

Missouri or Oklahoma might be a good, as they are centrally located, Lady-t or Ozarker might know of a great meet-up location!

I love Halloween.  Problem being, the weather could be really, really bad here.  Or not.  Today is great.  We just never know.

Could we do it in the summer and pretend it's Halloween.  How about on the Summer Solstice?

Anyway, I'm all for it.  Maybe centrally located would be better then someone wouldn't have to travel all the way across the country.

I was actually having the same thoughts about a summer meet up, because I was thinking Montana would be a great place to meet up!  I've only driven through the southern part of the state, once, and would love to see more of it -- but preferably in summer.  Also, it's more centrally located than some places, and perhaps we could even all chip in for a bed & breakfast lodge somewhere really beautiful?

Hey, how about all us doomer bitches making future plans!   Shocked

You all would certainly be welcome here. I've got a sand beach swimming pond and a good half a square mile to have a picnic in. There's an equipment barn that makes a damn fine drunken party locale. I'm two hundred miles or so from the direct center of the country if it helps any. I was really looking forward to the barn raising so I would love to meet everybody, wherever it is count me in. -James

Oh, I would absolutely love to do this! (and if six gun does the honors, I'm just a stone's throw from him   Smiley how cool would that be?)  I hope this is possible; sometimes I think about what a sense of loss it would be to not be able to talk to many of the posters on this site. It would be nice to meet in person. I will buy refreshments  Smiley

Well, I always said wild horses could never drag me back through Kansas.  Just kidding.

If it's at Jim's it would be a great central location.  Sounds like he's got good camping/tent spots maybe?  I couldn't afford to come if I had to stay in a hotel.  Or probably motel there.  Either way, I'd have to camp.

You all are welcome to come to Montana, but I always think about the folks who would have to leave their livestock and maybe not have anyone to take care of it.  If they could get someone to do it for a couple of days, and the place was more centrally located, maybe they could spare a split travel day and a day with the LATOCers.

If you gals and guys want to do a meetup next summer in the western Montana area, I'll definitely make plans to be there.  Anything further and I'll have to see.  Where are you, Jim?

I'm in St Pete Florida.  Keep me in the loop on this.  I would love to meet some LATOCERs in person.  Do we have to do survival workshops or can we just drink?

I'm not far from Jim.  I'm in Arkansas, NW, Bentonville to be more exact.  I have 20 acres to camp on, or you can get a hotel, or you can go to hell.  Anyway, it's an option.
