I hear ya Roccman ...I tried to point this out earlier here,  so we're waiting to find out what's already been travelin around?  This virus (whatever) probably can't be contained at this point, not trying to freak anyone out but I would strongly advise folks to avoid ALL UNECESSARY travel, public places, etc. (till we have more info about this situation).

Thanks!  Sounds rather dire. Well, let's hope that the WHO is responsible enough to give out details about the samples sent to them ....... I'm really concerned that they'll sit on it for a good long time, and then vaguely state that it seems like the samples are h1n1, don't worry, be happy.

Sounds like:

An admission that this is a mutated strain of H1N1

Martial Law.
Political Purges.
Unification of health care services.
A call to the population to take up vaccines
At least there doesn't appear to be any hint  of enforced vaccination, yet.

the brisbane flu strain is TAMIFLU RESISTANT..........

i guess they will make a point of actually mentioning that at some point.

I think you mis-read that - it's unlikely that all three waves of the swine flu is hitting Ukraine simultaneously. It's more likely to be swine flu + 2 other "normal" seasonal flu viruses - or possibly swine flu + a mutated swine flu + a seasonal flu virus.
