"Totally lost here -- why does the fact you own 2 horse you can't ride make you a racist redneck?"

The way I'm reading that statement is, the sister-in-law owns 2 horses that she can't even ride; the s-i-l also is always complaining that she has no money, and she lives in CT which has high taxes.

My dear brother, who lives among the natives on The Planet of The Idiots, and his beloved wife are financial ignoramuses.

They keep two horses they can't ride, live in a state with the highest taxes EVER, think that using their Schedule A on their income taxes is better than the standard deductions (no way if your income is <100K/year) and have spent over $5K on a DOG.

Did I mention they eat out about 4 nights per week?

And they wonder why they have no money.

**head slap to self**

They are still not speaking to me since I pointed out the obvious:  That those two horses could keep them in good meat for about 1 year.....

(At least I didn't mention the dog.)

What sort of horses?

They are some kind of quarter-thoroughbred crosses.  They are very pretty to look at but have some kind of knee/foot problem that prevents them being ridden or even used to pull a cart!  They eat a ton of expensive hay and grain.  They don't even use the manure in a compost pile!

If they could actually afford to just look at the damn things that is one thing.  But they really can't.  So off to the knacker and buy another deep freeze.

Oh, oh.  Hope PETA is not monitoring this site.

Anyhoo, horse meat is a delicacy in some cultures.
