Anyone watching this besides me? So far Im pretty impressed with the scenario they are giving us. I also like the way the episodes seem to be ending with things going from bad to worse. I mean they are stuck on a ship that no one seems to know how to operate, with limited power and as fast as they can figure out one thing, something else either stops working or runs out. The only fellow with a clue is an unpleasant SOB and then you have that military asshole played by Lou Diamond Phillips popping in from time to time causing all kinds of crap with his orders.

Sky One are showing this on UK TV now, I'm pretty impressed with it actually - good to see the odd appearance by original SG1 cast members and also Robert Carlyle is present - a great actor!! Ancient technology at is it doesn't always work if you're trying to return to Earth!

I like it.  It is gritty and doesn't always have a nice, neat and happy ending like too much SciFi these days.

It just comes on so damn late.

Very good program. I'm sure glad the show is available on syfy.com for free Smiley  Cannot wait to get the entire season on DVD, my computer screen is small. Robert Carlyle, is he the one who plays Rush? The breakdown scene in the gateroom was intense, great actor, that one. Relieved that this show is a more "doomier" Sci-Fi experience.

Yup. I would be the same!! Rush flaked out, and last I saw, they were headed for a sun . . . oh no!! Very riveting though.

Also, anyone seen FLASH FORWARD at all?? Even tho that needs its own thread.

Hey thats awsome you're all Stargate geeks like me. The girlfriend and I watch SG1 on HULU over dinner almost every night, and yes, definitly watching SGUniverse. I expected it to be cheesy, or "Star-Trek"ish, and to my surprise its not all all, its actually pretty damn good.

My theory on the heading into the sun thing, is that the ship did it on purpose to recharge its power and will jump into FTL at the last second. OOOoooOOOo I hope I'm right.

OH yeh, hardcore Stargate geek here. I was watching the original series every week, then they put me on midnites and my life went for a complete crap. So I stopped watching. Instead I picked up every seasons' DVD and then when the series ended, I watched the entire 10 year run in about a month. (No, I don't have a life  Grin) and then picked up the movies, while watching Stargate Atlantis. Same thing, saw a couple years on the tube, then on midnites. Same deal, Bought all the DVDs. But I haven't had a chance to watch season 5 yet. Now we have Stargate Universe and I'm seriously liking it. Very dramatic compared to the others. Last nites episodes Light, was great. I sure hope they dont kill this one off for a while.
