I have always secretly loved recumbent bikes.  They just look fun, though I could never afford one. 
Watching my parents age, I realized that trikes (both standard and recumbent) are ideal for older folks or anyone with balance issues.


My hope is that a day will come soon, when I won't have to worry about the low profile of a recumbent, since there won't be any cars on the road. Grin

There you go.  And you can pick times of the day, week, or routes that avoid cars.  The levee tops fit that bill, and the dog can run alongside.
