We have 13 million unemployed Americans and we're sending Pakistan 7 BILLION dollars!!!!!!!!!!  Angry Angry Angry Angry Angry Angry Angry Angry Angry

...as one of those 13 million, i just gotta say...

Damn, today was the day to cause random havoc in DC.  Like the flaming dog shit in a bag trick, en masse.  Or toilet paper EVERYWHERE.  Could have stopped that bill from passing if we'd screwed up enough people's days.

I remember back in the Clinton Administration, when those mean ol' Republicans couldn't come to terms with Willy and the Federal Government actually shut down for a little bit...

The Sun went out and the sky went black.  The streets were piled high with the corpses of the innocent, and the sewers were overflowed with blood.  The Earth split asunder and demonic, primordial beasts emerged from the depths to feed upon the survivors...

   Oh... Wait.  That didn't happen.

A bunch of bureaucrats got a day or two off, and the Government realized that they'd better get back to their posts before Americans realized just how much we DON'T need them.

We're at war in Pakistan?  When did that happen?  I know we're in war in Afghanistan, their neighbor, but I must've missed us being at war in Pakistan...

Well they gotta have someone out there to keep faith in the almighty dollar. If Pakistani people are dumb enough to do the back breaking work of building roads and hospitals in exchange for some green paper...meanwhile unknowingly expanding the "Empire of the Fed" and creating a whole new generation of suckers who will end up right where we are now...wondering what the hell happened? Why is life so shitty? I thought I was doing everything right!.....but now you're in a ditch and can't make ends meet and there simply isn't anything worth doing in exchange for a slave wage.

All the time we would have been vastly better off living conservative, community centered, festive, minimalist lifestyles. Sure we probably wouldn't live as long. But we'd be much happier. Who the hell wants to live to be 100 years old in this day and age anyway? It's too damn expensive and depressing knowing what we're doing to the planet and ourselves.

Well, yeah. We are at some sort of war in one form or another all over the globe. Have been since WWII. Any of this foreign aid, regardless of what they say it is for, read it as bribes, protection, or hush money.

Not only is that money going to Pakistan, but it came from a Loan from China and elsewhere, ......so you and me get sadled with the interest payments on money that never even entered our economy.

We need to make it against the law for governments to run a deficit budget.   Wink

LOL, the Liberal Government in British Columbia did that and then passed a "budget clause" that gives them an exemption ... an exemption from a law they implemented.  Talk about incompetent governments.  They are standing behind their original law, but at the same time passing exemptions. Stupid Liberals.
