Soup, Bread and Slaw

Crusty artisan bread with homemade herbal butter (take a pint canning jar and fill 2/3 full with cream.  Add a clean marble, lid it securely and shake the heck out of it for 10+ minutes until butter forms.  Pour off buttermilk and make pancakes tomorrow.  Rinse the butter in water until it runs clear.  Scoop out and add some salt and whatever herbs you like, to taste).

Homemade Coleslaw (cabbage, minced garlic, chopped onion, shredded carrot, apple cider vinegar, mayo).

Homemade Vegetable Soup in a crock pot:
First off, soak 1 cup of white beans in water overnight, rinse off and discard floaters.
Second, fry 2 or 3 minced garlic cloves, 1 chopped Walla Walla sweet onion and 3 - 4 chopped celery ribs in butter.  Add in a can of chopped tomatoes with the juice and roast a bit more.  Then dump into a crock pot with the beans and either 2 - 3 cups of chicken stock or bullion cubes in hot water.  Heat on high 4 hours or on low 8 hours, testing the beans for softness.  Can add pasta if you like, at the end of the cooking time.  Salt & pepper to taste.
