Actually, I am glad you found a fixable cause for this.

To all the good advice, I'd add, put at least on thing you know you'll get done on your list everyday (it can be pretty dumb, such a feed baby) and then at night, when you brain won't stop racing (I call it having squirrels in the skull) think about the fact that you did that -- remember doing that in every mind numbing detail, and bore yourself to sleep.

If the chiropractor and everything else fails, just get a prescription for Ativan and dissolve them under your tongue.

Therefore shall her plagues come in one day: death, mourning and famine; and she shall be utterly burned... And the kings of the earth shall bewail her, standing afar off for the fear of her torment, saying, Alas, alas that great city Babylon, that mighty city! for in one hour is thy judgement come.

I'm 52 years old, and about 3 years ago started taking high blood pressure meds.
This summer I really started to exercise, improve my diet, take supps, etc.
I started to get panic attacks.

What actually happened is that I was almost fainting from LOW blood pressure.
The feeling of almost fainting caused panic attacks.
I had postprandial hypotension. My pulse rate was 47 beats per minute, which is not good if you are a sedentary person, like me, and not an Olympic runner.
I stopped taking the atenolol, which was slowing down my heart.
I have had no panic attacks since raising my pulse rate to the 57-63 beats per minute range.
BP varies from 120/78 to 155/82 during the day, so I need to lose a few pounds, improve my lifestyle, etc..
