That's great that it's spurred you on, Eyes. I love the way our dreams can change our thinking and lead us to new realisations.

Last night I dreamed that my family moved to Seattle (why we would want to leave new zealand, I don't know) to live in a huge skyscraper. We couldn't find our apartment but then we found a secret door behind a huge mirror that led into it. Weird....

Hey, you guys!  What a great thread you've kept up!

Aussie-  Shocked and double  Shocked!!!!!

Okay, here is my weird dream:  Nada.

I have spent my life having horrible, vivid, strange, beautiful, awe-inspiring, etc. dreams.  In living color.

For the past few months, I've had the most benign dreams.  Half the time, I can't even remember them.  That has NEVER happened to me before.  EVER.  I woke up every morning with at least two, usually more, dreams that I could remember.

And I've been laughing in my dreams a lot lately.  Which is really strange.  I wake myself up laughing.

I have no idea what all this means.  I'm a little unnerved by it, but enjoying it all the same.

I recently had a dream about "intelligent" zombies...  That somehow knew kung-fu.

It was in a supermarket/clothing store.  Possibly a Wal-Fart.  I also end up facing gigantic zombies for no real reason.  I can remember ducking in and out of the aisles just to avoid getting seen and getting the crap smashed out of me.

I wonder why I dream of zombies....

Quote
     The Valley of Dry Bones
1 The hand of the LORD was upon me, and he brought me out by the Spirit of the LORD and set me in the middle of a valley; it was full of bones. 2 He led me back and forth among them, and I saw a great many bones on the floor of the valley, bones that were very dry. 3 He asked me, "Son of man, can these bones live?"
I said, "O Sovereign LORD, you alone know."
4 Then he said to me, "Prophesy to these bones and say to them, 'Dry bones, hear the word of the LORD! 5 This is what the Sovereign LORD says to these bones: I will make breath [a] enter you, and you will come to life. 6 I will attach tendons to you and make flesh come upon you and cover you with skin; I will put breath in you, and you will come to life. Then you will know that I am the LORD.' "

7 So I prophesied as I was commanded. And as I was prophesying, there was a noise, a rattling sound, and the bones came together, bone to bone. 8 I looked, and tendons and flesh appeared on them and skin covered them, but there was no breath in them.

9 Then he said to me, "Prophesy to the breath; prophesy, son of man, and say to it, 'This is what the Sovereign LORD says: Come from the four winds, O breath, and breathe into these slain, that they may live.' " 10 So I prophesied as he commanded me, and breath entered them; they came to life and stood up on their feet—a vast army.

I had another dream last night.  Very clearly, I was told "Buy your calorie crop seeds now for Cannellini beans, kidney beans, soup beans and onions, from Shumways."  Don't ask me why it was that specific, but I'm putting in an order Smiley

I had this dream last night.
I was this little girl in this silent city with a group of other people. I was leaving our 'house' (I think it must have been some sorta station) and I was walking along this wall to meet my best friend in the park when all of a sudden, I hear this alarm start. It sounded low, like a warning alarm, and it kept going and going and then it stopped and started up again and I remember wondering if it was a nuclear reactor starting to go. Anyway, I ran over to this park and started playing with my friend. Then, we were walking around and stumbled upon this british guy, I think he was involved in 'other' activities before everyone disappeared/left but I know he wasn't allowed to live with us. He looked happy to see us and said a few things and we repeated what he said in his cockney accent (which he thought was quite funny, I think he was teaching us curse words and insults). Then my friend and I left him and I woke up.

Very, very disturbing but then again, before this dream I dreamed my mom had cancer and I knew and she was refusing to tell us she had cancer  Cry

Based on your dream... I think I need to order more seeds for next year.  Wink

My Shumway's order for Cannellini beans, Great Northern beans, Ailsa Craig onions, Sugar Beets, and Giant Yellow Sweet Onions is on it's way Smiley  I find Shumways a bit annoying because while they sell their beans by the pound, they sell everything else by the ounce.  Really, how the heck am I supposed to know how many kale seeds are in one ounce for $4.25?  Is that a good deal or not?  Grrr.

Next up will be the White Russian Kale, Stein's Late Flat Dutch Cabbage, Autumn King Carrots, Winter Red Kale, Autumn King carrots, PTWG Turnips from Territorial Seeds.

Next will be Sweet Meat Squash, Old Homestead Greenbeans and Black Cherry tomatoes from Baker Creek Heirloom Seeds.

Last will be Hyssop, White Mustard, Brown Mustard, Lovage, White Horehound, Common Thyme, Wormwood and Neck Pumpkins from Pinetree Garden Seeds.

And maybe Saltwort from Johnny's.

And Oxheart carrots, Walla Walla Sweet onions and Harris Model Parsnips from Irish Eyes.

And Ireland Creek Annie beans, Charlevoix Dark Red Kidney beans and Lambs EArs from Seed Savers Exchange.

I could add "wish list" seed lists all day, lol...  I love seeds!

And pricing them is like a game, I try to figure out the best price per seed with shipping.  BTW, only Baker Creek has $3 shipping regardless of amount, a great deal.

Hey, you guys!  What a great thread you've kept up!

Aussie-  Shocked and double  Shocked!!!!!

I've also had a couple of freaky dream type events that are worth bringing up.

Has anyone ever seen their doppleganger? I have. I woke up one night and right beside my bed was a perfect glowing outline of me, looking back. I pulled the sheets over my head, closed my eyes and didn't look again until the morning light.

I have also woken during the night and felt a pressure pushing down on me. I was totally awake and was trying to move but couldn't. I was completely paralysed as this invisble force literally pushed me into the bed. This went on for a few mintues. During this time I was concentrating on trying to move any part of my body, but it was impossible. After a few minutes it went away. I have felt this force try to grip me many times over the last few years but now I know how it starts, I'm able to shake it off before I'm paralysed.

None of this weird shit freaks me out anymore as these any other things have happened so many times over the years I think I'm used to it.

I probably shouldn'tl mention the dreams my wife has of being visited by aliens. (And she is a totally level headed, no bullshit type of person that doesn't believe in that crap). I keep joking with her it's because she is being abducted.  Cheesy

Aussie you should research "sleep paralysis" many people have it. When everyone falls sleep they are usually paralyzed. Its a biological safety mechanism so you dont physically act out your dreams in your sleep. in sleep paralysis this mechanism gets messed up and people wake up paralyzed and also often accompanied by terrifying hallucintations such as alien abductions and demons. sleep walking etc. is the opposite problem of people that dont get properly paralyzed while they are sleeping.

I once had a thing that wasn't bodily paralysis, more like my mind had gone to a lower level or something.

I had just had a very long and tiring journey, after a long and tiring work stint in a strange place, and came home absolutely knackered. Had a good dinner and fell asleep on the sofa for a couple of hours. Then, the dog woke me up and although I felt awake, I didn't know what he was, where I was, or what anything was, it was all just shapes, colours and sounds. It lasted for a minute or so and was incredibly disorienting and really very disturbing. As I gradually woke up, things started to make sense, but it really freaked me out at the time.

I had that once in college. It must be what being an infant is like

This is a description of waking slightly during astral projection during sleep.  Your soul goes in and out of your body nightly, visiting the Other Side/wherever it wants/needs to go.  When your physical body wakes slightly at the same time your soul is returning, it's a shock to the system - your waking mind/body doesn't acknowledge astral projection.  Then the soul has to jump into the body in a much harsher fashion that the usual easy slide during sleep.  It's like driving a stick shift car for the first time, the shuddering and stalling vs someone who has driven it for years.  Nothing to worry about!

The opposite happens when you are falling asleap and "jerk" awake - your soul was astral projecting before you were quite fully asleap.  Then your body wakes up and your soul crashes back into the body.  Again, not much to worry about.  Happens to all of us all the time.

Many years ago when living in an old victorian apt bldg in Portland, ME, I had a similar dream to Aussie's.  In my case, it definitely seemed like a male demon was on top of me (I had been asleep on my stomach) with rape on its mind.  Yes, it was terrifying and seemed to take every ounce of willpower I could muster to finally make it go "poof".  It was around 3AM and I was so shaken, I turned on some lights and went to the bathroom, where I found the toilet seat and lid, both in the up position.  I NEVER leave the toilet seat up, let alone the lid.  Explain that one.   Shocked

Oh, and last night I had disturbing dreams, but it's quite disjointed right now.  I do remember my female rottweiler being attacked (by humans or animals, I can't recall) and I thought she was dead.  When I got to her, she was alive but was bleeding and had flesh hanging off her face.  I just remember holding her in my arms with her blood all over me.  Ugh, and I didn't drink any milk yesterday.  Sometimes I have great dreams, real adventures, where I am doing and can do things I know I can't, but I hate the "other kind".
