Eyes WideOpen:

Yes, yes, and yes.

I saw Q&A with M. Ruppert when the movie showed here. Good times!!

I remember once when I was lurking here, someone posted "You can't talk to the sheeple about peak oil."

I thought that was so funny!! I never forgot it. So true about certain posts haunting you.

I like angry rants though. Bring em on I say! That's why we're here!

Oh nice one GD, lol!

Er, yes and now John, we try not to argue (as in flame), not easy at times. Check out the rules sub-forum to see what I mean.

Hi everybody! I'm a long time (over two years) lurker on this forum, and I figured it was finally time for me to speak up and introduce myself. I'm a 29 year old lawyer in NYC. I've been a doomer for many years now, because of a general belief that things are so crazy they can't possibly go on much longer. I'm not specifically focused on Peak Oil, which was somewhat new to me when I first came to this site, but I'm definitely interested in learning more. I really enjoy all of the helpful information on this site, as well as the willingness to look behind the usual left wing/right wing con game. To steal a phrase from Gerald Celente, I'm a political atheist, at this point I can't even listen to political commentators without getting nauseous. I really like some of the firsthand economic information that people share around here, and I'm hoping to add some tidbits of my own. More selfishly, I'm also hoping to take advantage of some of the knowledge on this board to help me with some prepping of my own. In all honesty, I'm more of a talker then a doer when it comes to preparing for the future, and I'm hoping to change that with what little time may be left. Though I know that if things do HTF, NYC is probably one of the worst places to be. I don't know how often I'll be able to post, since I don't want to do it from work, but I guess we'll see. See ya round folks!

Welcome! Lots of good info in any of the sub-forums to help you prep even in a huge city. Er, we will of course urge you to figure out how to flee the city, lol, but most of us are joshing, mostly:)
