Good video makes a concise picture of all the recent spending.  I don't even feel that I should say "good luck paying that debt" to future generations because there is no way to pay it back.  Which leads to a great many other questions that are being discussed all over this forum.

thanks roccman

Good find! How old was that vid? I thought we were well over $10T spent, with more committed?

The numbers are so huge - that they are meaningless at this point.
That was a great visual roccman. Thank you

The problem is clear, the solution is not in my hands.

I have had to stop dwelling on that and tend the garden. At least there I can smash bugs.

Amazing....

...is that
according to the video
there actually is
a bottom.

Is there?

white_stone, as Candide opined, "We must cultivate our garden."

The garden is where we all dwell.  The Earth.  Smashing bugs or smashing pumpkins.

 Cheesy

Can you imagine what it would be like to drop a pumpkin from the top of that cliff in the video?  What a smash it would give when it hit bottom?  Reminds me of an old Letterman schtick where he threw vegetables and stuff off buildings just to see them smash.   Grin

Of course it was right wing statists who produced that video.  That doesn't change the facts, of course, but they are big spenders of another kind.  Doubt they would be complaining much if this money was going to blowing up Iran, or something along those lines.

Dont get me wrong, I'm totally against this bailout nonsense.  Just wondering where these assholes were eight years ago.

Fantastic audio on this clip.  Holy fuck do I miss the early 90's in the Pac NW.

A big part of the stimulus package was tax cuts which are not government spending.

8 years ago?  Where were these assholes in 1980?  You know, when Reagan fucked this country proper?
