Because of the download limitations on scribd (host of most of the stuff in the list
first posted), I went looking for that list as a BIT TORRENT. If you are not familiar
with it: bittorrent is a peer-to-peer file sharing thingie that allows people to send
enormous volumes of stuff over the net without it being on a server. If you want
the tech details, see:
http://www.bittorrent.comhttp://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/BitTorrentANYWAY, the idea is that bittorrent would be a way of downloading ALL the
files on the original post in one big swoop -- no tedious downloading of each
individual one. However, unfortunately I could not find that collection as a bittorrent.
I DID, however, find this one -- heavy on old-fashioned "survival" stuff, but
possibly useful:
note that to do this you need to download a bittorrent "client" app; not hard;
