Unfortunately, in some small towns, like where my mom lives, Kroger is the only grocery store.  She buys the ground turkey in tubes.  Ugh!  The only meat I eat is from local farmers, and eggs, too, for that matter.  I buy from a woman who has a finite number of chickens, she can tell you about them in some detail, different types, etc.  I don't eat much meat at all, though.  I feel fortunate to live in a place where I can get local food.  Plus I still have some from the freezer that I grew myself.

You can get an idea of how rugged our digestion is by reading an account of Major John Wesley Powell's expedition down the Colorado.
The flour and bacon descriptions and how little they ate of it are impressive.

Strange shortage yesterday in a big box store in Galesburg IL - all the night time pain meds (like Tylenol PM) were gone with "temporarily out of stock" signs below the empty slots.   Undecided

On a trip to the Iowa side of the river a few weeks ago there were lots of empty shelves and I noticed that most the paper products only had the large quantity packages available (paper towels & TP)

Could it have something to do with the Tylenol recall ?

Hmmm - guess I didn't hear about that.  I suppose I wouldn't have thought the empty shelves were strange if I had.

About time. I believe, if I remember correctly, the pallets of plastic bottles were stored somewhere, in Mexico, where they picked up something toxic. Then the pills inside naturally picked it up, too. A few types of the bottles were recalled, but not all. Maybe they finally caught up with it.

Ah, globalism.

I don't use Tylenol either as it does squat for me.  My favorite---Tieoneon.

Well, it is getting close to the weekend.  I think I like Tie1on better for commercial purposes, though.
