Streetlight Manifesto Soothes My Doomer Soul

The lyricist is apparently obsessed with:

1. DOOM
2. Religion/Atheism

...and an atheist is really the ultimate doomer because even in a perfect world, we're all still doomed.

The guitar and his raspy voice speak of destruction and screwed-upness while the horns seem to be an irrepressable celebration of life.  His lyrics seem EXTREMELY doom-aware... as one can tell from just the song titles.

The song arranging is awesome... changing tempos, structure other than chorus/verse.  It took a little listening, but I can't get enough now.  Every time I think I've listened to their best stuff I find another song that is even better.
