I wonder what impact will the film have on people who have no background knowledge of any prophecies, Biblical, Mayan, Nostradamus, Cayce, etc?  Do you think this will simply be viewed as entertainment or will it be useful in awakening people to Peak Oil and all that comes with it?

Wordy, that was very informative writing, thank you for posting.  Why don't you consider publishing the material as an e-book and capitalizing on the interest the movie will generate in the subject?

Have any of you checked out the 2012 On-line Movie on youtube? Lots of new thought teachers are giving the spiritual view of what they expect and how to help in the transition.  Btw, don't be put off by the first speaker, Dannion Brinkley, he wrote about his near death experiences back in the 90's and comes on kind of fundamentalist sounding, but stay with it, there is a lot of interesting information included here.... quantum physics, crop circles, lay lines, earth chakra points and more!!!  Cheesy

saw 2012 last night

not bad

liked it fine up until the end
and then a scientist type guy gives
what is supposed to be an impassioned speech
that I thought really fell flat

GREAT special effects

and there are plenty of holes in the plot
but so what
it's just a movie

overall good entertainment

7 stars out of 10
