these are great,

the one
A Practical Treatise on the Manufacture of Starch, Glucose, Starch-sugar (1881)
is mislabeled, as it downloaded another book,
anyone know how to get the real one ?

Corrected. Thanks for letting me know.

Let me know if anyone comes across "A Practical Treatise on How to Save the Economy, Stop Global Warming, Cure Human Greed, Stupidity and Hate, and End Warfare Forever (2008)".

Oh I kill me!  What a work of fiction that would be.

I have that book...but it is under lock and key...
To obtain access you must first make a large donation and learn the secret handshake, password, burn a person in effigy, and sign this contract....

That beverage book is  800 odd pages  and worth a look through  imnho . Books sort of like the computers of their times, simply amazing to read old books on manufacturing.

Thanks Midwest. I'm downloading the entire file. This is truly remarkable stuff. I just moved to the Ozark mountains, and I'm finding out that, say, the guy who built my fireplace is too old to work, but this is the best fireplace I've ever had. It draws like a vacuum cleaner was at the other end. Then my neighbor said that the electric motor repair guy has cancer, and he's dying. These old time tradesmen are slipping away from us, and from what I've heard, none of the younger kids wanted to learn these trades. At least we can have books that tell us how, and we can try some of the techniques ourselves. I intend to give DVD copies of this file away to all my neighbors.

Thanks again.
