I'm still going to worry.  I don't see many people willing to work for food, and even if they are, there won't be food until AFTER they've worked for a season.  And what if it's already July?

I take some comfort from the rule of threes...  Three minutes without air, three days without water, three weeks without food... chances are you're dead or as good as.

If a person can keep off the radar for a relatively brief time, competition for food will be significantly diminished.  Of course, this only applies in the case of fast collapse.

So how long without love?

A person can live a long, long life without love.  I've known plenty of elderly assholes that only a mother (long dead by then) could love.

I know I shouldn't have, but that made me laugh.

My sympathies.

I'm not sure exactly what the intent of your comment was, but if it's what I think it was I fucking hate those kind of comments.  They burn the messenger, essentially.  And I've been burned way too many times for crimes reported, not crimes committed.

Testy, testy.  I was sympathizing with his having way too many elderly assholes in his life.  There are only a couple around here, and that is way too many.  How old are you, again?  Just kidding.

And I hasten to add that I do not consider elderly a necessary adjunct of asshole, in case someone is preparing to take me to task on that.
I recently defended an elderly, recent, member, Jeromie, who was deemed an asshole, and I don't wish to go there again.

Fuck all.
