I had the same issue but...

actually, even though you see it in your profile, it is not viewable by others.
Check your profile when you are not logged in and see if you can see your email.

From what I understand of the SMF software of this forum you have to have a verifiable email to have an account.  No email, no account.

But there is a box you can check in your edit profile menu where you can keep your email invisible from all but the Admins (Jeff and Matt).

Note that when you hit the "report post to mods" button an email is generated to all mods, who now have it in their email accounts..

But its very easy to just check the box in your profile settings.  You still see it, but no one else does, save Matt or Jeff if they want it..

I was concerned about this issue too.  I want my email address hidden and I did check the box.

By the way, you have a very good board here.

I have read it on and off before joining it.

You check the box and the email is hidden from anyone that looks at your profile.
