I just found a mention of this book in someone's post on the Financial thread, and looked it up on Amazon. Looks good, but I'd love to hear from any LATOCers who've read it what your opinions are.

I borrowed it from the library (yes I know, not very invisible) and found it quite interesting.  Unfortunately, I don't have the money to implement many of the things he recommends, like the LLCs in New Mexico, etc.  When I move the next time I hope to follow some of his advice, like keeping my name and true address separate.

His website has a good searchable question and answer section, and a link to his blog:

You can read the previous version free with this download from JJ Luna's site:  http://www.howtobeinvisible.com/index.cfm/page/htbi2000

You'll have to pay to buy the most current version that's been updated to include lots of internet stuff.

I read the free download ... definitely worth reading.  Then you can decide just how invisible you want to be (heeding what Tinfoil Hattie says about costs).

Thank you TH and 9! I had a feeling that it might be a bit $$$ to be invisible! Smiley like everything in life, it seems. Thanks a lot for those links, I will definitely check them out. Even if you can go totally invisible, every little bit that makes you difficult to find is worthwhile.
