Please note:

The chat server is down. I am in the process of moving it to a new server.
This will still be a dedicated server. Only at 1/3rd the price Cheesy

Currently there is no ETA on when the chat server will be back up.

My apologies for the interruption in your doom drip. Tongue

Whew!  Thanx gnomore!  Was beginning to doubt my mad IT skills!

Sounds like a good switch though.

Sorry for the outage.

The chat server is up.

The java irc applet on theoilage.com is not up yet.
Basic channel/nickname services are also down but you can at least come in and chat.

The website applet is up again Smiley

I modified theoilage.com to include the applet on the main page. There are also some stock tickers available and more will be coming. My goal is when you use the chat server you will be in the loop as far as stocks/commodities/bonds/news goes.

I hope you enjoy the changes Smiley

As you can see, theoilage.com has changed signifigantly. The chat applet is now served from the main page. There will be some heavy modifications coming to the website very soon that I have listed below.

In Development:

* Up to the minute stock quote system that displays along side the chat window on the main page. It will have stocks - bonds - commodities - energy - tbills - us dollar index
* A news section
* An account system that will eventually allow you to add you own stocks for tracking on the main page along side the chat window
* A links section that will provide links out to supporting sites. Mainly latoc.
* A development forum where anybody will be able to submit development ideas.

My goal for theoilage.com is to let the community decide what features they want. However I am highly nudging the development into a real time monitoring system of all things financial and doom news related. I hope to have the stock quote system done in a couple of days so keep your eyes peeled! Cheesy

Eh, once the regulars stopped camping in there it kind of fell into disuse.  Maybe if YOU camp folks will come by every few days.

Cool.  Folks, if you show up and no one's there, please stick around.  Sometimes folks are in and out, and if you, too, just sign in and sign out, you'll miss one another.  I'm trying to stay in the chat room when I'm online for any length of time (but sometimes I can't because of crappy connections).
