hi,

I've been lurking on the site for a while and guess it's way overdue that i officially say hello and personally thank Matt for this site and his work - mustn't have been easy given the opposition but people need to know this stuff to give us a better chance of getting through it - it's been a real eye opener (a bit of an understatement there - I've a geology degree and never once in the years of study did hubbert's name come up once!! or may be that's more of an indication of the sheeple phase i went through as my wider reading was zero). The resources on the site are truely impressive (partly explains why I've not posted - there's so much stuff to get up to speed on / print off - research and implement - my garden has been transformed thank you !! but it's been a lot of learning and work - and I've got the feeling it's only just beginning....so there it is, my hello and thanks, cheers Matt.

Hey, welcome, Deckarda.  I am chuckling at the vision of you discovering Hubbert, having a geology degree.  Also nodding my head at your comment about the info here.  Don't be afraid to use the search feature, and check out the best of latoc.

I have been standing in the back of the forum for awile now.  Guess it's time to move around and introduce myself.
I'm a parent, a friend, a worker, a student, a rookie gardener, and avid bicyclist, a Coloradoan, a big fan of my dog, a bluegrass fan, an armchair politician, a local beer-drinking (there are at least 5 microbreweries in my town), a concerned citizen of the world.
I learned about PO while trying to figure out why "they" thought it was a good idea to turn food into motor fuel.
I have been enjoying the site and the forum in silence for awhile.  I have learned alot since finding you guys.
Thanks for letting me eaves drop for so long.

Welcome.  Must be Boulder.  I hopped a few of those microbreweries when I was there a few years ago.  Cheers!   Smiley

Hi All,
I followed Megadoom's post this and it seems to have mostly sensible discussions. I have a broad general knowledge base, but more importantly; I have several sites like this one get the specific nuggests when needed. Since it's a nice seeming boaard, I joined up.
